At Circle of Hope International, we believe there is hope. We believe that hope comes through people working together to bring change in the lives of desperately poor children, women and families. We are doing this by partnering with a local church in Malawi. However, how do people who are themselves poor care for other who are even more desperately poor? That's where community makes a difference! Circle of Hope exists to create a larger community bringing together those from the United States with people in Malawi to make a real difference. Circle of Hope International in Malawi Circle of Hope International is partnering with the Grace Alliance Church in Malawi to work in the Namanda Community, an area of approximately 50 villages. We are currently developing the Namanda Community Development Center. This is a fourteen acre piece of property that is home to an orphan and vulnerable children program. In the next year an agricultural training center, micro-enterprise project and literacy program will also open. Orphaned and vulnerable children Our main project in Malawi currently focuses on 250 children. These children live with extended family members or foster families through out the area where we work. Four times a week the children come to our project to receive a meal, play games and receive some educational training. The children also occasionally are given soap, clothing and blankets. But most importantly they receive hope! Community Development Making a difference in the lives of children is just the start. We are expanding our program to reach into the whole community through agricultural training, micro-enterprise, literacy and health programs.
