Tyler and the Grace Center kids
The photos below are all from our first hour or two at the campus. There was a huge crowd of people waiting for us. About 40 people came to the airport to greet us. Its about an hour drive to the airport and they were all packed in a truck bed! When we got to the campus we were a bit overwhelmed by the crowds of people there to greet our team. Tyler was quick to pull out the video camera and of course I was taking these pictures.

The crowd
The whole crowd was singing and dancing!

Baby carried on mom's back
This little face stood out in the crowd to me. This is how all the women carry their babies. The cloth is called a Chee-ten-jay, phonetically. They double as skirts and baby slings. People sometimes use them to carry food or laundry.

The group singing
This group sang a couple of songs to us. One was in English. The only line I can remember is "You are MOST welcome."

Our escorts
Once things wound down the Timothy's home kids grabbed us by the hand and escorted us to the house. Leno's got Tyler. Chikondi is on his left.

Our escorts
Lefani had my hand. We also had water carriers. Herebat had Tyler's and Mau had mine.

Harry and Tyler
Harry became Tyler's buddy very quickly. The incredible openness and the warm welcome we received helped us to begin building relationships with ease.
