Host a Blanket Party
Join the fight against Poverty and AIDS by hosting a blanket party. We are looking for persons willing to host a blanket making party to learn more about Circle of Hope International.
Our kids join the fight by helping to harvest the food they will eat over the next year at the Grace Center.
In Malawi, 12% of the adult population is infected with HIV (compare to 0.6% in the US). There are approximately 91,000 children living with AIDS in Malawi and 560,000 children who are orphaned because of AIDS. We estimate nearly two thirds of the orphans we serve are orphaned because of AIDS.
Mrs. Lumbe, Home-based caregiver, is HIV positive. She joins the fight every day as she uses her own experiences to encourage her patients.
A party would involve:
- Gathering together friends and family who share your compassionate heart
- Making fleece blankets for our orphans in Malawi
- Watching our documentary, “East of Mvera”, to learn about the connection between Poverty and AIDS in the communities with which we partner
- Sharing information on COH’s response to the crisis, and how we all can get involved
For more information on hosting or attending a party, please email rachel@cohcommunity.org.
